Thunderbird Pies

Founded as a take-out concept during the pandemic, this Detroit-style pizza restaurant expanded to its first permanent location in East Dallas in 2021. Opened by Jay Jerrier, owner of Cane Rosso and Zoli’s, the concept took off with its thick rectangular pizzas. Some popular kinds include the Drip Pan with hot sopressata and sausage, the Honey Bastard, and Thunder Mifflin. There’s also a pizza of the month — July is the Chili Cheese Detroit with hot dog pieces.
