Kendrick Lamar
Rapper Kendrick Lamar follows the release of his most recent album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, with a massive tour stop at American Airlines Center this Saturday night. “The Big Steppers Tour” will include Baby Keem and Tanna Leone as well. Purchase tickets here.
Asian Film Festival of Dallas
This Thursday through Sunday, the 21st annual Asian Film Festival of Dallas takes place at Texas Theatre and Angelika Film Center — returning after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The festival features 16 feature films and 11 shorts, including spotlight screenings of The Witch 2: The Other One and Small, Slow but Steady. You can find tickets here.
The World’s Biggest Coconut Experience
Head to the Bishop Arts District this Friday through Sunday for your chance to see The World’s Biggest Coconut Experience by Vita Coco. The coconut water brand will be popping up in the neighborhood to celebrate the launch of their newest coconut juice with an experience like no other, including a three-story-tall inflatable coconut, local food trucks, outdoor games, and an appearance from former Bachelor Matt James. Dallas Colombian Festival
This Saturday from 3 pm to 10 pm, Addison Circle Park is hosting the Dallas Colombian Festival featuring all things Colombian culture. From food to music, the festival will celebrate Colombia’s independence day with Reggaeton artist ROB, Columbian Cumbia by Los Corraleros de Majagual, and Cali Flow Latino. Purchase tickets here.
Summer at the Arboretum
As part of the Dallas Arboretum’s “Summer at the Arboretum” series, a new exhibition is on display through July 24. Don’t miss photographer Don Tortellini‘s Faces of Dallas and The Village showing at the DeGolyer House. The rest of the series runs through August 14 and features music, food, and custom mural art by local artists Alli K, MOM, Will Heron, and Favio Moreno who have created Birds in Paradise-inspired murals.
