The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa earns Travel + Leisure’s to Houston resort hotel honors in the 2022 awards survey.

As The Houstonian enters the final stages of a $65 million master plan, set to finish a complete renovation and expansion of the property this fall, it already holds Forbes’ Four Star honors. The Travel + Leisure No. 1 Texas resort honor is further proof that the 27-acre property with its lush canopy of oaks is a glorious retreat in the middle of the nation’s fourth largest city.

The property is a member of the prestigious Preferred Hotels and Resorts while the exclusive Houstonian Club is the only fitness club in Houston to be awarded Platinum Club status by Platinum Clubs of America. Further, the renovation and 9,500-square-foot expansion of the property’s luxurious Trellis Spa make it the largest luxury spa in Texas.

The honors in all categories are based on the results of the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards survey in which readers rated hotels on the following characteristics: rooms/facilities, location, service, food and value. The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa will be showcased in the magazine’s August issue and on TravelandLeisure.com

The magazine’s World’s Best Awards include top islands, cities, resort hotels, cruise lines, airports and more. You can find the complete list of winners here.
