The Hill
A swath of desert 75 miles east of El Paso, is an improbable location for an art installation, but James Magee’s decades-in-the-making site The Hill testifies to one man’s pursuit of an idea that cannot be defined by words. Four buildings connected by causeways are enigmatic and seen by few in the art world, with the exception of a handful who sit on the artist’s Cornudas Mountain Foundation.
