July 13 – or 7/13 – has become the official day to celebrate all things Houston, in honor of the Bayou City’s first area code, 713. Join Houston Food Bank on Saturday, July 13 for our special 713 Day Volunteer Shift and celebration.
For those signing up for the afternoon 1-4 pm volunteer shift on this date (and will work alongside some of our friends from Houston Dynamo!), they will be included in a post-volunteer celebration of Houston with food, ice cream, candy and a DJ playing all the H-Town classics. We may even have a few small additional surprises!

We also have an amazing 713 Day shirt available for sale with 100% of the proceeds going back to
Houston Food Bank! The art is created by Houston artist Daniel Anguilu. Active Athlete, Adidas and
Houston Dynamo have partnered with us on this limited edition shirt. Cost is $20 per shirt, and will be
sold at the food bank on July 13.
