Addison After Dark, Addison’s monthly festival series, brings a fresh perspective on outdoor fun to Addison Circle Park. Presented by Oncor, each FREE Addison After Dark event focuses on a different theme and offers a variety of unique activities, live music, popular food trucks and specialty entertainment.
In July, prepare to step into a Hawaiian escape! Dress for a beach party complete with live music, traditional performances, food trucks and island-inspired activities.
The excitement starts with a live performance by Tropical Productions Hawaiian Band at 7 p.m. Then, at 8 p.m., get your dancing shoes ready for a Hawaiian and Tahitian dance lesson followed by limbo lessons. Put your new skills to work when Jimmy Buffet tribute band, Buffet Beach, takes the stage at 9 p.m., playing some of the legend’s top beach tunes.
Come dressed in your best island-ready outfit to fully embrace the theme of the night. Throughout the event, enjoy beachy activities, including a mechanical Robosurfer and a Coconut Climber. Make time to stop by the Marketplace to shop vendors selling jewelry, hair accessories, novelties and more. Snap a photo to remember that fun time in front of the themed photo wall.
Take a picnic or purchase food from Hawaiian Bros, Mint’s Kitchen, or Soulful Street Bites. For dessert, enjoy snow cones from Tikiz Shaved Ice and Dole Whip from Hawaiian Bros. America’s Finest Beverage Catering will be selling beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening.
To make the most of this fun experience, dress for the theme, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and get ready for an unforgettable night out in Addison!
