Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Ladies for Literacy Guild is hosting the 9th annual Power of Literacy Luncheon at The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston on Friday, October 25th from 11:30am – 1:00 pm. Chaired by Mehrnaz Gill and Diane Gendel with the theme “Building Brighter Futures,” the proceeds from this year’s luncheon will benefit childhood literacy programs across Houston. Guests will enjoy a captivating author conversation with actress and New York Times bestselling author, Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Williams-Paisley is an accomplished writer, with her first full-length book Where The Light Gets In landing a spot on the New York Times bestseller list in 2016. Attendees will also enjoy a silent auction, raffle and special “Giving Tree” opportunity.
