Join The Heritage Society, Mister McKinney’s Historic Houston, Central Bank, and Mayor Sylvester Turner at Houston’s 183rd birthday party! The special celebration, chaired by Mister McKinney, with honorary chair Council Member Robert Gallegos, is set to be an all-things-Houston occasion, with complimentary food from Bollo Woodfired Pizza, sips from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, live music, and a sweet birthday cake from Three Brothers Bakery. (Mayor Turner is set to cut the cake at 5 pm.) Guests will also have the chance to meet “the Allen Brothers” and the “Mother of Houston,” Charlotte Baldwin Allen.
All are invited to hop aboard Mister McKinney’s open-air Houston History Bus, which will be giving free educational bus tours of historic Downtown Houston at 2:00, 3:00, and 7:00pm . There will also be free tours of the homes at The Heritage Society.
Central Bank will serve as a lead sponsor, with Taste of Texas as Bronze sponsor.
