Join Houston Parks Board on a tented Avenida de las Americas Plaza for the 2023 Annual Luncheon. Chaired by Kristin & Aaron Blomquist and Sis & Hasty Johnson, the event will raise funds to support Houston Parks Board’s mission to create, improve, protect, and advocate for parks for everyone. Special guest Chuck Sams, director of the national park service, will join Houston Parks Board as the featured speaker. With 30 years of experience in land preservation and stewardship, Chuck Sams is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the first Native American to serve as director of the National Park Service.
