King Ranch Hosts Grand Opening of First-Ever Austin Saddle Shop June 17

The famed King Ranch is coming to Austin as a King Ranch Saddle Shop will open to the public and host a grand opening June 17 in the South Congress Shopping District.

The new Austin store joins the King Ranch Saddle Shop’s flagship location in Kingsville’s Historic Downtown District, as well as outposts in College Station, Frisco, Fort Worth and Houston. Austin King Ranch Saddle Shop hours will be 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays.

All shoppers who visit the new King Ranch Saddle Shop in Austin during its grand opening can enter to win an exclusive sweepstakes. The grand prize will be a trip for two to tour the cattle, Quarter Horse, or wildlife operations on King Ranch and a VIP shopping experience at the King Ranch Saddle Shop in Kingsville, TX. Other prizes include King Ranch Saddle Shop merchandise.

Additionally, the first 100 guests who enter the new King Ranch Saddle Shop in Austin on June 17 will receive the opportunity to handstamp their initials into their very own commemorative King Ranch Saddle Shop leather keepsake.

To give the Austin King Ranch Saddle Shop a look and feel all its own, design elements begin before you even enter the store. The Ranch’s iconic Running W® logo is branded into an oversized wooden entry door. South Texas taxidermy – including coyote, a nilgai shoulder mount and a replica of the largest whitetail deer ever harvested on King Ranch – are on display throughout the new Saddle Shop. Perhaps, the most nostalgic of all design elements is a saddle once owned by Bob Kleberg, a third-generation descendant of Captain King and President of King Ranch for almost 50 years.
