The 2022 Art League Houston’s 74th Anniversary will be great drinks, food, music, and most of all, art. Ticket-buyers will enjoy cocktails, a fabulous 3-course dinner, a digital art experience by Input/Output, music by DJ Flash Gordon Parks, and a live auction with works by locally and internationally acclaimed artists.
As a major fundraiser for the Art League Houston, this gala largely contributes to funds supporting community engagement, exhibition, and public art programs. As one of Houston’s oldest nonprofit arts organizations, many artists rely on this foundation for support. Co-chairs Joi Maria and Matt Probus and Seba Raquel Suber are excited for another year of bringing the community together through unique and creative experiences that drive people to appreciate, study, and create contemporary visual art.
This year’s gala will honor Letitia Huckaby as the Texas Artist of the Year, Earlie Hudnall, Jr. as the recipient of the biennial 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award in the Visual Arts, and Melanie Lawson and John Guess, Jr. as the 2022 Texas Patrons of the Year.
