On Monday, September 29, Georgie will host a special evening in support of the Dallas families who lost loved ones in the flood, known as the “Mystic 7” Families. Executive Chef Wes Whitsell, a Michelin-starred talent who has returned home to Texas, will prepare a three-course, family-style dinner following a cocktail reception at 6:00 pm. The menu will feature dishes such as deviled eggs, house-fermented pickles, country ham, Whitsell Farms cantaloupe, roasted heritage chicken, grilled Texas venison loin, shrimp and grits, Grandma’s whipped potatoes, and blackberry cobbler with vanilla-cardamom ice cream. Tickets are $250 per person, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Mystic 7 foundations and funds.
