Nationally Recognized Author Meredith Miller to Discuss Helping Children Build a Healthy, Lasting Faith

Nationally recognized author and pastor Meredith Miller, a leading voice on children’s faith formation, will visit St. Luke’s United Methodist Church for a presentation about her latest book, Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Child Doesn’t Have to Recover From. In Woven, Miller offers parents and grandparents a thoughtful approach to helping children develop a faith that is rich, authentic and uniquely their own. She encourages children to explore the Bible, ask big questions and develop an understanding of God and faith that can grow and evolve throughout their lives.

Meredith is a pastor, parent and writer with more than 25 years of experience in children’s ministry and curriculum development. In 2019, she and her husband, Curtis Miller, founded Pomona Valley Church, a virtual church community that meets Sundays at 9 a.m. Pacific Time on Zoom, followed by a virtual brunch. The church also hosts an in-person “Dinner Church” on the first Sunday of each month at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church in Claremont, California. Previously, Miller served as Curriculum Director for children’s ministry at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, where she developed a framework for lessons informed by the latest research on children and faith formation. Since 2007, she has been involved with the Fuller Youth Institute. In addition to Woven, she is the author of Wonder: A Grown-Up’s Guide to Exploring the Bible with Children.
