For the past 35 years, the Paul “Bear” Bryant Awards recognize college football coaches for their contributions both on and off the field. Each year, one top performing coach is selected to take home the “Bear” bust trophy and claim the final titled of the season: the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the year Award.
Behind the scenes, the awards are about much more than football season and the wins versus losses that occurred on the field. They provide a platform to shine a spotlight on heart disease and stroke. The Paul “Bear” Bryant Awards have raised money for the American Heart Association, funding research, education, and advocacy, saving countless lives.
