Spectrum Fusion presents Illuminate: Creating Brighter Futures for Autistic Adults, on Thursday, October 15 at The Junior League of Houston. The second annual gala is made possible by Presenting Sponsor IPC Industries, along with other generous underwriters. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and with Illuminate, Spectrum Fusion is shining a light on the amazing talents and abilities and bright futures of the autistic adults it serves. The gala is Spectrum Fusion’s most important fundraising event of the year, helping to fund meaningful employment opportunities, creative programming, and community connections for autistic adults throughout Houston and beyond. One of the evening’s highlights is an incomparable live auction item featuring a box for six people at the 2027 Kentucky Derby, complete with all-inclusive food and beverages. Generously donated by Churchill Downs Incorporated, this VIP experience is perfect for entertaining clients or treating family and friends to a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Special entertainment will be provided by Mindworks founder Dalton Sessumes, whose journey took him from studying quantum physics to a professional performance career that included Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. Courtney Zubowski, Emmy-winning host of the public affairs show “Texas & Me” on KYAZ-TV (Weigel Broadcasting or WeTV), will serve as celebrity emcee for the evening. The program will feature an inspirational message by Dr. Heidi Stieglitz Ham, CEO and founder of Spectrum Fusion, as well as opportunities to connect with the talented members of the Media Team, part of Spectrum Fusion Studios. Houston Rockets Chaplain Mike Rosas will deliver the invocation. DJ Cory Baum will spin tunes and there is a performance by dancers from Fred Astaire River Oaks.
