A Different Kind of Tuxedo Rental Shop Opens in Dallas
Convenience can be Stylish (No, Really)
By Merrit Stahle //
To all dapper gentlemen: Premier tuxedo rental shop The Black Tux has opened its doors in Knox-Henderson district following great success throughout the past year.
Founded by good friends Andrew Blackmon and Patrick Coyne, their biz also has locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Chicago.
“Dallas is one of our most important markets,” says Dan Wenhold, director of retail. “It has a reputation for being very fashion-forward and is a great location for our first Texas showroom.”
With the opening of The Black Tux’s 1,400-square-foot Dallas space — which stocks the full run of The Black Tux tuxedos, suits, shirting, and accessories collections — men are able to view more than 20 different formalwear looks and receive style consultations with showroom associates.
After consultations and fittings are complete, customers receive an online customer profile; then, orders are placed online and fulfilled via mail.
Tuxes arrive two weeks prior to every event, and a replacement garment is shipped free of charge if adjustments are necessary. Lastly, pre-paid postage makes for simple returns.
To fête the Dallas opening, The Black Tux is throwing a soirée complete with drinks, a DJ, and cornhole, on Thursday, June 29, from 7 to 9 pm.
The Black Tux, 2026 N. Henderson Ave., 888.717.1588.
