She may not have gotten her prince, but there’s a happy ending after all for 26-year-old Cressida Bonas. After splitting with Prince Harry last April, British-born Bonas — the daughter of Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon and Jeffrey Bonas — was featured in Vanity Fair‘s “Best Dressed” issue. Now she’s been chosen by fashion design house Mulberry to be the face of the brand. So it seems high-profile break-ups can work wonders for your career …
This just-released Mulberry image follows an imaginative short film (the first in a series of digital stories), which was shot earlier this year in Clerkenwell, London. Bonas showcases her dance training and general It-girl appeal with English actor Freddie Fox. The film, called From England with Love, was directed by Ivana Bobic and features a track by ESG called “Dance” — fittingly, as this dance story expresses the mood of Mulberry’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, with Bonas donning the Buttercup dress while searching for the ultimate bag, the Bayswater.
She joins the ranks of current and previous Mulberry spokesmodels Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung and Lana Del Rey, pretty much ensuring that the grass isn’t getting any greener for her anytime soon. Watch the video and get inspired to dance like no one’s watching … except perhaps royalty somewhere.
