Special Custom Dallas Soccer Jersey is a Collaboration Worthy of the World Cup

Two Local Brands Score

By //

In true spirit of the World Cup, local Dallas designer, Hance Taplin has dropped another piece for his By Way of Dallas brand that is sure to be a sellout.

Breda Watches, a local brand created by the brother sister duo Amir and Shabeena Meghani in 2009, is teaming up with Taplin for it’s first apparel release: a Dallas-rooted, custom soccer jersey. It’s a fitting collaboration for Breda, which was named after a professional soccer club in the Netherlands.

“Since Breda was founded, I always wanted to share the roots of the brand name. It fell into place perfectly after Hance and I had a conversation about wanting to release a soccer jersey,” the company notes in a statement. “I have always respected the work he’s done for By Way of Dallas. I knew working with him would result in a beautifully designed jersey and connect BREDA to the Dallas community in a unique way.”

Unlike the typical rainbow of bright, in-your-face jerseys that should only be worn on turf, the Breda x By Way of Dallas collaboration is appropriate for the streets or the pitch. This limited edition piece, only available online, includes a two-toned, black and white theme with notable D-Town motifs, such as a Pegasus-inspired badge and the oh-so-Dallas 214 area code as the jersey number.

Since 2009, Breda has focused on simplicity while still expressing creativity and individuality. With Taplin’s reflection of the Dallas culture and authenticity in his work, the two “teams” are set for quite the match.

You can urchase the jersey (there are limited quantities) on either bredawatch.com or bywayofdallas.com.
