I recently visited the spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston to test the 50-minute deep-tissue massage, and came away relaxed and free of muscle fatigue. The experience — from checking in with the attendant to enjoying the sauna pre-massage to the session itself — was excellent, with a polite and helpful staff, clean and well-appointed rooms and facilities, absorbent and luxurious robes and towels, plus any and all toiletries one might need. And then there’s the main event. Vanesha, who was my therapist for the visit, knows her stuff. She asked me all the right questions (in addition to the information I supplied on the spa’s client form) about pressure and style and tightness, and her training was evident. The deep tissue treatment was 50 minutes of therapeutic bliss. I’d recommend her for your next massage with no reservations. Clarins products are available here, as are facials, couples’ massages and many other treatments. Next time, I’m going for the happy hour special.
