Nearly Nude Sandals Create a Buzz That’s Good for the Sole
By India Pougher //
April is feeling like a month to give back, and everyone is getting in on it, including renowned shoe design house Stuart Weitzman. The luxury brand is celebrating its philanthropic partnership with Pencils of Promise by introducing a limited-edition version of its popular Nearly Nude sandal in the perfect shade of No. 2 pencil.
On the heels of the company’s exclusive launch for the partnership in New York — where everyone from models to celebrities donned the yellow suede shoe — fans of the brand can gather on Thursday, April 14, from 5 to 8 pm at the NorthPark Center flagship for an in-store cocktail party.
Stuart Weitzman is donating $100,000 as part of the Shoes for Schools campaign to build three schools in Ghana, Guatemala and Laos with Pencils of Promise, which has already constructed 343 schools around the world. Twenty percent of the sales from Thursday’s shopping event will go towards the $100,000 goal, and the custom style will be available online and at Stuart Weitzman flagship stores only.
Time for a little shopping? Yes, it’s good for the sole.
