Houston’s Most Fashionable Women Will Strut the Catwalk for the River Oaks Crowd
Meet Your 2017 Style Setters
By Shelby Hodge //
Fasten your waist trainers, fashionistas. Three of the city’s high-profile fashion mavens are set to strut the catwalk in early October as Style Setter honorees at Fashion X Houston. Lindsey Love, Sippi Khurana, and Carolyn Farb will each share their distinct fashion oeuvres when they are spotlighted at the three-night event taking place in an open air extravaganza at River Oaks District.
Fashion X founder and producer, Matt Swinney, who also produces Fashion X Austin and Dallas, is partnering with ROD, moving from last year’s location at Silver Street Studios to the swank retail neighborhood which is the chichi home of designer labels including Hermes, Cartier, Akris and Tom Ford.
Each evening under the stars, October 5, 6, and 7, will incorporate runway presentations from local, emerging and notable designers along with presentation of one of the honorees and her charity of choice. On the first evening, a portion of ticket sales will go to Dress for Success compliments of Love. On October 6 KNOWAutism will benefit, compliments of Khurana. On the final night, Farb will be honored and a portion of ticket sales directed to Camp SAY.
As the press release notes, “Three prominent women from the Houston community will be honored for not only their influential style, but also their untiring devotion to non-profit organizations.”
Adding to the cachet of the evenings is the host committee comprised of Staci Henderson, Diane Caplan, Megan Pastor, Rob Giardinelli, Lance Avery Morgan, Donae Chramosta, and Anika Jackson.
Information and tickets, priced individually from $35 to $450 (VIP) are available here. VIP packages for all three nights are priced from $325 to $1,200.
