5 New Options to Swoon Over at Neighborhood Goods

Neighborhood Goods, a new kind of department store that popped up at Legacy West in Plano last year, has quickly gained popularity. It’s attracted big name brands and celebrities such as Serena Williams and Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James. It also boasts its own restaurant called Prim and Proper.

This summer, Neighborhood Goods has added five new brands, ranging from skincare to an art book publisher. Brands are ever changing so make sure to catch them before they’re gone.

Good Science Beauty

The newest addition to the Neighborhood, Good Science Beauty is a skincare line that focuses on high quality ingredients and clean technology. Its breakthrough technology Good Silicon + introduces a more effective delivery system for active ingredients. This means that the hyaluronic acid, amino acids and antioxidants found within the line will make the biggest impact.

Founded by Dr. Suzanne Saffie-Siebert, Ph.D., the team has spent almost 10 years creating perfecting these products. Items at the department store include purifying face creams and face masks, hydrating face cream, brightening cream and firming cream.

Good Science Beauty will be here until August 30.

Cynthia Rowley

A New York-based global lifestyle brand built on the idea that fashion should be an adventure, Cynthia Rowley sells pretty-meets-sporty assortments of swimwear, fitness apparel and accessories. Rowley began her fashion career while at the Art Institute of Chicago. After graduating, she took the small amount of seed money she had and moved to New York City to start her fashion brand.

Deemed by press as “surf-leisure,” the collection at the Plano store includes swimsuits, wetsuits, dresses, and kaftans. Neighborhood Goods also sells one of Cynthia Rowley’s signature sweatshirts and mini messenger bags.

The concept will be at Neighborhood Goods until September 29.

Also in stores this summer through November 28 is Rothy’s footwear. Co-founders Stephen and Roth started the brand when they realized that stylish, comfortable and sustainable women’s shoes were missing from the market.

So they created a pair of shoes that could go with anything. Exclusively in-store are The Flat, The Kids Sneaker, The Loafer, The Point and The Sneaker. All shoes are made from recycled plastic water bottles and come in tons of different colors.

Known for its eye-catching coffee table books, this art-book publisher is selling books in Plano’s Neighborhood Goods through August 30. Founded in 1980 by Benedikt Taschen, the company started by publishing comic books, but changed to pocket-sized art books later on.

The publisher made the serious art world a bit more available to anyone that wanted to conveniently enjoy inexpensive art collections that could fit into a bag. The Neighborhood Goods location has everything from modernism and Kubrick photography to typography and American ads.

Coterie Party

At Neighborhood Goods only until July 30, Coterie Party sells all things parties. The festive brand offers products that are curated for any occasion. Their goal is to take care of the boring party essentials so that you can focus more on your guests.

At Neighborhood Goods, the brand is selling plates, napkins, cups, star toppers and paper straws. If you go online, they sell sets for any occasion, such as birthdays, Fourth of July, pool parties and more. You can also build your own set based on the occasion, vibe and number of guests.
