Three Nights of Swanky Partying at the District Set Up Runway Moments

PC Moment: Emerging and noteworthy local designers were featured in runway shows on three consecutive nights with the fashion frolic beginning each evening with swank cocktail parties hosted by the various luxury boutiques. On the catwalk, stretching the length of a transparent party tent were fashions by Chloe Dao, Alanatude by Alan Gonzalez, Mysterious by N.P.N., Bentley & Lace by Eizabeth Copeland, Brittany Nicole, Tieler James, Daniel Esquivel, J. Ewing Designs, Anna Irion, Dignified Women’s Apparel by Bria Evans, Amanda Valentine, Miles David, Allie Joy and nha khanh. Emerging designers presenting their wares included Monks & Mavericks, Mansion Rose by Deanna Santiago, Born Poor Live Rich Clothin and B. Poshi
On each of the three nights, a Houston fashion maven was honored — Lindsey Love, Staci Henderson, Carolyn Farb — and a portion of proceeds from their night were assigned to their selected charities — Dress for Success, the Rebuild Texas Fund and Camp SAY, respectively.
Both Fashion X and River Oaks District have committed the majority of proceeds from the event to the Rebuild Texas Fund and a portion to CleRenda McGrady’s Project P.U.S.H. McGrady emceed the first night of the festivities that included a runway show from the development’s posh retailers including Baanou, Roberto Cavalli, Alice + Olivia and Chopard.
Up and coming designer Alex Gonzalez received top honors as recipient of grants in products and services from Fashion X’s Houston Fashion Fund and Bernina of America.
