One of River Oaks District’s Luxe Stores is Giving Away a $2,000 Shopping Spree
How to Win It
By Jailyn Marcel //
As you cross the threshold of John Hardy‘s new River Oaks District boutique, an enchanting scent immediately captivates your senses — it’s sweet, but not sickly. The intoxicating aroma fills the 1,000-square-foot jewelry haven, a space which marks John Hardy’s first-ever proprietary location in the United States.
The spirit of Bali permeates — floor-to-ceiling windows usher in droves of natural light; tropical leaves peek from ivory-hued vases; and shop employees wear custom apparel designed by Indonesian designer Biasa.
The eco-conscious brand showcases its handcrafted jewelry collection (which encompasses designs for both men and women), all of which is created by the more than 700 artisans in the company’s Balinese compound in Ubud, Bali. From trademark chain bracelets to Hardy’s Cinta collection — a Houston store exclusive — the jewels are displayed in custom cases created by Design Republic. Design tools rest in delicate divots arranged atop the cases, giving customers a first-hand look at how the ornate pieces come to life.

After 41 years spreading sustainable luxury jewels around the world, John Hardy can now call Houston home. To fête this milestone, PaperCity‘s partnered with the brand to give away a $2,000 shopping experience at the new River Oaks boutique. Click here to enter for a chance to win.
John Hardy will debut its 1,200-square-foot New York flagship later this year at 118 Prince Street in SoHo.
