Genius Project at Forty Five Ten Proves Now is the Best Time to Buy Winter Jackets: These Limited Edition Collaborations Will Not Last

Despite the 100-degree weather, now is the time to stock up on rare Moncler outerwear and accessories at Dallas’ Forty Five Ten. The luxury designer boutique in the heart of downtown Dallas is the exclusive wholesale retailer in Texas for the Moncler Genius project, a series of limited-edition capsule collaborations with big-name creatives to be rolled out between now and September.

Known for chic sportswear and functional down jackets, Moncler is recognized as a winter uniform around the world. This new project puts a youthful spin on those timeless pieces.

The first collection is a collaboration with Japanese musician and streetwear icon Hiroshi Fujiwara — and it’s available now for a limited time at Forty Five Ten. Fujiwara, founder of the fashion label Fragment, previously collaborated with Nike, Supreme, Converse, and many others.

His pieces in 7 Moncler Fragment Hiroshi Fujiwara play off of his background in music. From a metropolitan military-green backpack to a sleek black puffer vest and a down jacket branded with the word “Backstage,” these looks rock a confident vibe.

Forty Five Ten will unveil three other unique collections from the project throughout the summer. Each collaboration includes a reinvented Moncler down jacket, among other  designs.

The second collection. 6 Moncler Noir Kei Ninomiya (for women), is created by former Comme des Garçons designer Kei Ninomiya. The all-black pieces play with figures and structures in true Comme des Garçons fashion.

London-born designer Craig Green, who is known for dramatic, emotional pieces (some are on display now at the MET), completes the next collection: 5 Moncler Craig Green (for men). Green is all the hype right now, especially after winning British Menswear Designer honors at the Fashion Awards in 2016 and 2017. The collection is full of playful tan-and-black full-body apparel meant for the bold.

The 2016 Womenswear Designer of the Year, Simone Rocha, rounds out the project at Forty Five Ten with 4 Moncler Simone Rocha (for women). If you’ve ever wanted to look like Kate Middleton or Michelle Obama, Rocha’s collection is your best bet, as she has designed for both. Her pieces look very regal and feminine, with floral patterns and light colors in the mix.

Each collection drop will be available to customers for 30 days. These “Genius” pieces will not stay on Forty Five Ten’s shelves for long.
