Tamara Mellon is taking her shoe show on the road, making a stop in Houston at River Oaks District. The TM Mobile Closet is clocking in some serious miles, going coast-to-coast across the United States, spreading the shoe love along the way.
The mobile shoe closet is an extension of Mellon’s luxury brand, inspired by by the success of the brand’s first brick-and-mortar location at Palisades Village in Los Angeles. The 24-foot truck features floor-to-ceiling glass panels showcasing heels, sneakers, sandals, boots and booties. Expect to find the Icon Knee High Boot, the Frontline Strappy Sandal and the Belle Capretto Pump, blending elements of a boot and a pump.
Mellon is known for her inclusive sizing, recently releasing the knee high Icon Boot in larger calf sizes. Now, all those coveted shoes are going on the road.
Shoppers enter the mobile closet through the back, revealing the the shelving inside.
“We are always looking for new ways to make luxury accessible to more women,” Mellon says. “Driving cross-country to meet our customer gives us the unique opportunity to connect with her in person.”
Houston is part of a 10 city pop-up, that started in Boston and ends in San Jose in December. The TM Mobile Closet will be in Houston this Thursday, October 31 through Sunday, November 3.
