Brenda Schoenfeld, who loves to entertain, is hosting a casual, day-long event, “The Art of Entertaining: Seasonal Table Setup & Design,” at her Dallas boutique next Tuesday, October 29, from 10 am to 5 pm.
The store is open to the public and carries beautiful glassware, linens and accessories from Italy, where she lived for 18 years before returning to Dallas recently. It also features extraordinary silver tabletop accessories and dishes handmade by her legendary family of artisans in Mexico, whose matriarch is the talented and renowned Emili a Castillo. The boutique, Brenda Schoenfeld Now, opened in 2018.
Table creations designed by Schoenfeld will be on display during the event, with each table celebrating a different theme including Day of the Dead, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah. The tables will be decorated using the custom plates, dishes and glassware available at the boutique. An ofrenda, an essential part of the Day of the Dead celebrations, is on display in her boutique, and Schoenfeld requests guests bring a picture of their beloved ones to add to it.
The event takes place during Partners Card, the signature 10-day shopping fundraiser benefitting The Family Place, the largest family violence agency in Texas. Shoppers with a Partners Card can receive a 20 percent discount at Brenda Schoenfeld Now while shopping during the event.
