Texas Design Week Houston is Almost Here — Tickets on Sale Now

Texas Design Week Houston is comprised of a series of design and art talks by noted interior designers, architects, artists, product designers, and visionaries, with a full program of book signings, pop-up shops, salon talks, and cocktail events. Dates are Sunday through Friday, May 14 through 19, with PaperCity Design Awards celebration as the official kickoff on Monday evening, May 15, in a spectacular venue in West Avenue.

The Texas Design Week team has booked notable designers to fly in from L.A., Santa Monica, Atlanta, New York City, North Carolina, and New Orleans. On the schedule to date: Michael S. Smith, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Mark D. Sikes, Vicente Wolf, Carl Dellatore, P. Gaye Tapp, Caleb Anderson with Drake/Anderson, Robert Leleux, Madeline Stuart, Danielle Rollins, Florence de Dampierre, Ronda Rice Carman, Dr. Rebecca Peabody (department head of The Getty), Valerie Cassel Oliver, DeeDee Gundberg with Ann Sacks (director product development and design), Rizzoli’s Jessica Napp, Viyet’s Elizabeth Brown, and more.

Texas Design Week HQ is West Avenue, and as presenting sponsor it has created the Texas Design Week Event Venue, as well as pop-up shops for the Rizzoli Book Store, designed by Shane Cook in collaboration with Kartell; a space dubbed West Egg, to host trunk shows and interesting collections, such as Katie Scott x Vicente Wolf — a jewelry collection inspired by nature and architecture — and Atlanta interior designer Elizabeth Ingram‘s new furniture collection.

Many of the keynotes will be held in the West Avenue Event Venue, with other keynotes taking place offsite but nearby at partners’ showroom and store locations: David Sutherland, Found, Chateau Domingue, Internum, Meredith O’Donnell, and more.
