Trish Sheats Turns a Boy’s Bedroom into a Grand Retreat for Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas
Bold Nature is the Inspiration
Photography Stephen Karlisch
Overview of the Son’s Bedroom
The son’s bedroom was designed as a grand retreat with the colors and textures of the natural world. This room, designed for a young man, brings the outdoors in by way of green and copper upholstery, grasscloth wallcovering, nature-inspired artwork, and beautiful wood furnishings. The inspiration for the color palette came from a magnolia tree’s bold leaves, with deep green on one side and rich rust and copper hues on the other. The occupant of this room finds joy in outdoor activities, specifically fly fishing. Thank you to the amazing partners who helped this room go from a dream to a reality. — Trish Sheats Interior Design
