What: Unveiling of Carnegie Homes’ Kensington at River Oaks

Where: Kensington at River Oaks, 1705 Waugh Drive at Peden Street

PC Moment: More than 200 guests were transported to a scene from London’s Kensington Hotel as Carnegie Homes unveiled phase one of its new luxury townhome enclave Kensington at River Oaks.

The development, which draws inspiration from the Kensington Hotel’s Regency-style architecture, is home to Houston’s tallest single home residence — a five-story townhome clocking in at 70 feet tall. Attendees toured all five floors of the $1,299,900 property, which comes equipped with expansive terraces offering panoramic views of the city.

Guests were also treated to an inside look at two adjacent four-story properties as well as face-time with luxe vendors such as Spanish tile retailer Porcelanosa and legendary appliance company Sub-Zero & Wolf.

Posh interiors weren’t the only highlight of the night. Partygoers indulged a bounty of succulent bites as well as an open bar stocked with signature high-tea cocktails. Momentum BMW Southwest was also on site showcasing a fleet of new cars alongside a rooftop pop-up exhibit courtesy Esperson Gallery at GreenStreet and home decor vignettes styled by High Fashion Home.

A raffle gifted lucky guests with bounty from new downtown high-rise The Star and Houston-based whiskey distillery Yellow Rose.
