Offering features more reminiscent of a luxury resort than a retirement community, MorningStar at River Oaks will open December 2021 in Houston. Located at 2315 Richmond Avenue, the residential mid-rise provides elevated amenities and maintenance-free living, with housekeeping, security, wellness programs, scheduled transportation and a dedicated 24/7 team of care managers to serve its residents.
To bring this vision to life in Texas, the MorningStar Senior Living team partnered with Hines, the renowned international real estate firm.

Offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care, MorningStar aspires to elevate lifestyle options for older adults. In the River Oaks community, 85 suites for assisted or independent living will be available — with 27 secure suites devoted to the individualized care of residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. MorningStar’s range of service options allows residents to extend their stay until a diagnosis or condition calls for 24-hour nursing.
Elevated Amenities
MorningStar at River Oaks resort-style amenities include all-day, restaurant-style dining with an executive chef who is tasked with curating each menu.
The culinary team even puts together cooking classes and live chef demonstrations in the lounge, which is also where residents can enjoy happy hour with friends and family.
Another popular gathering spot for socializing is the sky terrace and lounge – which feature views of downtown and a landscaped interior courtyard with a fireplace and outdoor kitchen.
Other popular amenities include a salon, spa, fitness center, massage room and art studio.
