Our Top 7 Picks for DFW Restaurant Week — Where to Eat During One of North Texas’ Biggest Foodie Events

One of Dallas-Fort Worth’s most anticipated annual foodie events, the 30th Annual DFW Restaurant Week is here, and it’s time to book those reservations.

If you’re not familiar, this “week” is technically a month of dining opportunities from local restaurants that are offering discounted prix fixe dinners, lunches, and weekend brunches to raise money for charity. 20 percent of the proceeds will benefit North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope.

Three-course dinners cost $49 or $59, signature experiences cost $99, and two-course lunches & weekend brunches are $29.

This year, the four-week dining extravaganza runs from August 10 through September 7. Diners can get a head start at select restaurants on Preview Weekend, which takes place August 6 through 9.

Since the list of restaurants participating is so vast (172 in North Texas), we’ve narrowed it down to some favorites in Dallas and Fort Worth to check out while supporting a good cause.

Here are our top picks for where to eat during DFW Restaurant Week:

Dallas Restaurants

From Duro Hospitality, The Charles is one of our favorite restaurants in the Design District for its Italian-ish cuisine and its revamped interior. For DFW Restaurant Week, The Charles is offering a three-course dinner for $59, featuring highlights from its menu, such as Ora King salmon and wagyu short rib.

Last fall, Meridian at The Village Dallas reopened with a new chef and menu. If you haven’t been in yet, now’s your chance to check it out. The Modern American restaurant is doing a Signature Experience for $99 and a three-course dinner for $59. I recommend the Signature as it includes some of our favorites like the Kohlrabi Caesar, Snake River Sturgeon, and Sesame S’mores.

Another revamp this year, Apothecary in Lower Greenville took over the former Rye space next door to expand into a new two-room experience called Archive and Alchemy. For restaurant week, they’re offering a three-course dinner for $59 featuring dishes such as Japanese elotes, the Apo burger, Mediterranean salmon, and more.

Fort Worth Restaurants

Opened last fall, Dos Mares is a new coastal Mexican restaurant from the founder of Don Artemio. It’s participating in DFW Restaurant Week for the first time and offering the $99 Signature Experience and $59 three-course dinner. The former offers choices between Camarones a la Cordobesa and Arrachera de Res for the main.

Also from Duro, The Chumley House is a must-visit for its British vibes and European cuisine. For weeks one and two, they are doing a $59 three-course dinner including choices like short rib, chicken schnitzel, and Arka salmon.

Another recent opening in Cowtown, Buonissimo is a new favorite for its Italian cuisine. A great time to try the new spot, they will be offering a $59 three-course dinner during Restaurant Week. This includes bruschetta, bistecca e pasta, and panna cotta.

We recently broke the news that The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth just named Sean Malek as its new executive chef. With that, Emilia’s transitions to Italian cuisine, and there’s a new menu to try. This one is doing a two-course $29 lunch and $99 Signature Experience. These include dishes such as meatballs, rigatoni, wagyu beef tenderloin, and more.
