Celebrity chef Tim Byres is bringing his expertise to Plano with the opening of his third restaurant concept, Tight Quarters. The brand new stand will be located on the first floor of Legacy West’s European-style food hall and will feature wholesome ingredients.
Byres is a regular on food TV, with appearances on The Chew, Meatopia, Bizarre Foods America and Man Fire Food. The southwest Food & Wine Magazine gave him “People’s Best New Chef” honors. Byres also won a James Beard Award for his book, Smoke: New Firewood Cooking.
Byres is already known for his Dallas-based restaurants SMOKE and Chicken Scratch. Now, you may be wondering why the father of smoked meat and fried chicken wants anything to do with a healthy food stall? It’s all about balance.
As the owner of two “meat-centric” restaurants, Byres wants to “find equilibrium between a busy life and a better-for-you life” by bringing healthy food to people fast. Byres’ new approach is all about “living your best life, at the age you are; the best you right now, without compromise or counting calories.”
