A new smokehouse is on the horizon for Plano, bringing Southern classics and barbecue to America’s Happiest City. Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse, from Houston-based Pappas Restaurants Inc., will open its second Texas location at 3916 Dallas Parkway this September.
As the latest concept from Pappas, the new restaurant will serve aged hickory-smoke USDA Prime Beef Brisket from Creekstone Farms, Jalapeno & Cheddar Sausage, Smoked Berkshire Pork Belly, St. Louis Style Ribs, Big Boy Beef Rib and more hearty dishes.
For starters, the new spot will have Southern Fried Green Tomatoes, Sunday’s Deviled Eggs and Smoked Chicken Gumbo. There’s also a BBQ salad option and lighter dishes like soups and garden salads. Burgers and pit sandwiches are also on the menu.
As for the meats, all are served with two homemade sides, such as Pit-Smoked Pork & Beans, Poppy Seed Cabbage Slaw, Buttered Collard Greens & Turnips and Mac & Cheese. Or you can order a BBQ Combo or a family-style feast.
Besides dry-aged steaks, there are also several other favorite dishes such as Mississippi Catfish with chile lime butter, a half or whole bird of Tim’s Crispy Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Southern Grilled Salmon.

To wash down all of that comfort food, this new Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse brings a full-service bar with cocktails and an extensive American whiskey list. A few of the specialty cocktails include a Frozen Whiskey Smash, Strawberry Habanero Mule, Leisure Sweet Fizz and Nonino’s Pimm’s Cup.
