Beloved Texas Brunch Hotspot is Finally Opening in Dallas

Don’t Snooze on its Everyday Party Scene

By //

Don’t sleep on this, brunch-loving Texans: Snooze, an A.M. eatery is expanding its brunch empire in the Lone Star State. The Colorado-based breakfast chain is opening a fourth Houston location, and more significantly, it’s finally bringing its famous pancakes to North Texas this spring.

Snooze has been making waves across Texas since it arrived in Austin last year. Since then, the chain has opened an additional Austin restaurant, three in Houston and one in San Antonio. Its decadent comfort food and array of brunchable cocktails have made it a weekend hotspot in every city.

Snooze is opening its fourth Houston outpost in The Heights neighborhood early next year.

The restaurant will open its first Dallas-area location in Addison in spring 2018. Considering its rapid growth in Houston, it’s likely that more DFW outposts will quickly follow.

What makes Snooze worth waking up for? It is something of a mecca for those who brunch (it’s one place where you can get brunch every single day of the week). There are many pancakes, including its signature sweet potato version; modern takes on diner classics, like corned beef hash and breakfast pot pie; an entire section of the menu devoted to “the art of hollandaise”; and every variation of mimosa, bloody mary, spiked coffee and morning cocktail you can imagine.

The restaurant is known for drawing crowds out the door, and dedicated brunch enthusiasts will wait more than an hour to nab a table at the busy spot. We’ll see if Dallas hits Snooze as hard as Houston and Austin have.
