If there’s one thing Dallas likes to do, it’s wine and dine. So mark those calendars for March 3 because the premier wine and dine event of the year is returning to North Texas.
For the first time in more than a decade, the revered culinary event Taste America is coming to Dallas. On March 3, the James Beard Foundation and Capital One are bringing the one-night-only event and pop-up dinner to beloved restaurant hotspot Sachet.

Lucky diners will have the opportunity to experience an intimate evening of culinary excellence with Chef Stephen Rogers of Sachet (James Beard Award Semifinalist) and Gemma (James Beard Award nominee) through a special multi-course dinner — in collaboration with Chef Michelle Carpenter of Restaurant Beatrice (which earned a James Beard Finalist nod for Best New Restaurant in 2023) — celebrating the James Beard Foundation’s mission of Good Food for Good. Chef Rogers was recently named part of the 2025-2026 TasteTwenty class, an annual selection of “ones to watch” and recognized for outstanding culinary talent and leadership in the industry.
Presented by Capital One, the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America series celebrates culinary excellence and the local independent restaurants at the heart of communities, bringing together chefs and food lovers for unique dining experiences across 20 United States cities.

Sachet and Chef Rogers are known for a distinguished approach to Mediterranean-inspired dishes, as well as a commitment to making a difference beyond the kitchen through eco-friendly menus and continued sustainability efforts. During the event, diners will enjoy a delectable one-of-a-kind multi-course menu, in addition to wine pairings and cocktails, in a rare and intimate setting.
To start, guests will indulge in grilled baby bok choy with celeriac–fennel purée, pickled rhubarb, hazelnut dukkah, and silan–ginger vinaigrette. Next, they’ll enjoy cherry wood cold-smoked Gulf oyster conserva with housemade cracker and Tabasco beurre blanc. The entree? Choice of lamb chop and shoulder duo with polenta di riso, green fava beans, charred spring onion, and soft herbs, or roasted maitake mushroom with truffled polenta di riso, green fava beans, charred spring onion, and soft herbs.
Of course, no meal is complete without dessert. The finish of this incredible meal is set to be Bananas Foster Mille-Feuille with Appleton Estate Rum Diplomat Cream, banana ice cream, and praline crumble.

And it’s all for a good cause. Proceeds from Taste America events benefit the James Beard Foundation’s mission to champion a more sustainable, equitable and thriving future for independent restaurants and the broader food system.
The Taste America: Dallas reception will begin at 6 pm at Sachet for Capital One Early access ticket holders and 6:30 pm for general admission attendees. General admission tickets cost $175 and can be purchased here. Please note, this event is for ages 21 and up.
