A burger restaurant with mega star power is making its Texas debut at the Dallas Cowboys’ world headquarters this fall. Actor Mark Wahlberg’s family burger and bar concept, Wahlburgers, is coming to The Star in Frisco.

In anticipation of the new dining concept, Wahlberg made an appearance at Cowboys training camp. He watched the team practice and spent time speaking with players, coaches and Jones family members.

“We are all huge sports fans and to be able to open our first Texas location in tandem with a legendary organization like the Dallas Cowboys is icing on the cake,”  Mark Wahlberg says.

Founded by brothers Mark, Donnie and chef Paul Wahlberg, and featured on their A&E reality show, the casual burger joint features burgers, sandwiches, sides and specialty cocktails. There’s a full bar with wine and beer, including their custom brewed Pale Ale from Boston’s Harpoon Brewery called Wahlbrewski.

Burgers created by Paul Wahlberg include Mark’s favorite Thanksgiving Day with ground seasoned turkey, stuffing, house-made orange-cranberry sauce, roasted butternut squash and mayo. Donnie Wahlberg’s choice is the BBQ Bacon Burger with white cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado, jalapenos and barbecue sauce. And Paul’s signature Our Burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, government cheese, Wahl sauce and pickles is his fave.

This upscale burger chain is also known for its Wahlbowls, essentially a burger in a bowl without the bread, and does fresh salads. Sandwich choices include the Portobello, Mom’s Sloppy Joe, Jenn’s Chicken and the Crispy Haddock.

“On behalf of the Jones family, we are excited to team up with the Wahlbergs and bring their successful Wahlburgers restaurant to The Star in Frisco,” Dallas Cowboys chief operating fficer Stephen Jones says in a statement.

“Working together with family to create a solid business with strong values is something both the Joneses and Wahlbergs have in common, and we’re thrilled that our fans and visitors alike will be able to enjoy everything Wahlburgers brings to our campus.”
