If you’re looking to escape to the eclectic streets of Austin, PaperCity knows exactly where to go. This weekend, East Austin Studio Tour — a free, self-guided art event — kicks off with the second annual ARTBASH hosted by Art Alliance Austin. Tickets for ARTBASH’s special preview reception are currently sold out, but art enthusiasts can still attend ARTBASH’s highly anticipated, main event at Pershing Gallery.
Prepare for a night of extreme entertainment, which includes everything from music by DJ Western Borghesi and other live performances to a trio of dancers performing in soft sculptures by Magdalena Jarkowiec.
As guests tour the event, they’ll be treated to food from Austin’s own Stella San Jac and complementary cocktails by Titos Handmade Vodka, Nine Branded Whiskey, beer by Michelob Ultra and Ziegenbock, and Vitiano wine.
This year’s ARTBASH chairmen are Bryan Cady of DEN Property Group and Antonio Madrid of ICON Design + Build. Funds from the night benefit Art Alliance Austin, which helps the public connect to Austin’s contemporary art community. Following this weekend’s festivities, the exhibition remains open to the public for two more weeks at no cost.
