Beauty Time with beGlammed // Changing the Odds at Dinner // On the Move with MS
By Jane Rozelle //
Fashionistas flocked to the rooftop terrace at The Joule Hotel for the launch of beGlammed — an on-demand beauty service and app that provides users with the latest in trends.Hosts Lynsey Eaton (of Tomboy KC) and Devon Dyer (of Devon Rachel) talked shop with guests while others sipped on cocktails and perused the various beauty booths on display. The following evening, the Changing the Odds dinner took place at the Winspear Opera House where chairs Bill and Jennifer McCann and Michael and Amy Meadows welcomed more than 800 guests to an inspirational evening thanks to keynote speaker and bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell who spoke to the audience during dinner — which also served as a kickoff to the Changing the Odds conference. Later that week, Joan and Steve Smith opened up their home for the Flora Award Patron Party where honorees and supporters gathered in merriment. While patrons snacked on sumptuous hors d’oeuvres thanks to Cassandra Catering, guests also raised a glass to the 2014 Flora chair Stacey Beck. The following day socials descended upon The Ritz-Carlton for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s On the Move Luncheon. As guests enjoyed Nothing Bundt Cakes, country music artist and MS ambassador, Julie Roberts recounted her personal battle with MS before performing some of her greatest hits to the audience.
