Super Bowl week was packed with a plethora of action-packed events. Star-studded bashes may have dominated the social scene, but more subdued fêtes also found tremendous success. Take Aces of Taste’s Flights dinner, which marked the pop-up professionals’ first back-to-back dinner series in its history.
The two-day, internationally-inspired dining concept featured two of Houston’s most premier chefs — Food Network Chopped champion chef Evelyn Garcia, who hosted the event’s debut night with a three-course Thai menu, followed by Brenner’s on the Bayou executive sous Chef Toya Terry, who closed out the series with a three-course Peruvian meal.
The concept was such a hit — with both seatings selling out almost immediately — that Aces is offering a special encore presentation. Chef Terry headlines the dinner solo for this reenactment, presenting one of her last Peruvian dinners in The States. Terry will soon depart to Lima, Peru to work in the kitchen of the no. 30 restaurant in the world, Astrid y Gastón.
An added bonus: Aces of Taste will honor its special Super Bowl LI pricing of $51 for this dinner. If you’ve ever attended a previous Aces of Taste production, you know this is a great bargain.
