What: SpringSpirit Baseball‘s ninth annual “Breakfast of Champions”
Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: More than 550 baseball fans and generous contributors got up very early on this morning to hear, over bacon and eggs, Lance Berkman interview Houston Astros great Jose Altuve, a popular visitor to SpringSpirit fields. The baseball program aids underserved youth in Spring Branch in realizing their goals through sports, education and mentoring.
SpringSpirt grad Brenda Rivera shared her moving story of accomplishing her dream of graduating from college with a teaching degree thanks to the help not only of her family but also of the SpringSpirit team. The first in her family to earn a degree, her success story left many in the room tearful.
