Houston Power Couple Honored for Dedication to Children’s Crisis Charity: Dinner at the Hobby Center and Nearly $1 Million Raised

PC Moment: Their years of dedication to Casa de Esperanza earned Jimmie and the late Janet Moore top honors at the evening that raised just under $1 million for the non-profit that serves the needs of children in crisis.
A hefty lineup of co-chairs — Margaret and Mac Colvin, Theresa and Ray Frierson, Marian and Vince Hefley, Jerri and Jim Moore, Kathryn and Michael Moore, Lee Ann and Richard Moore, Stassa and John Moore — helped organize the spirited dinner evening.
Adding to the bottom line were underwriting chairs Gretchen and David Anderson. And for the 29th year, Lucia and Michael Cordúa provided the dinner from their popular Cordúa Restaurants empire.
ABC 13 news anchor Tom Koch served as emcee of the evening that also honored Bill Jones with the Spirit of Hope Award, m Strategic Partners with Corporate Volunteer honors, N-Kahoot$$ as Group of the Year, Tempa Weir as Community Volunteer of the Year; and Katie and Patrick Morris and Lauren and Trent Sims as Young Professional Volunteers of the Year.
