Stand in the place where you live: Chamber Music Houston‘s 2014-2015 season reaches a thrilling finale as multi-Grammy Award-winning Emerson String Quartet graces Rice University with a performance of works by classical giants Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. The group, which was named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, is known for standing, not sitting, during performances. An institutional presence for 37 seasons, the Quartet has earned ample coverage in The New York Times and currently serves as quartet-in-residence at SUNY Stony Brook.
