Recipe for Disaster — that clever title is only one of several quick-witted quips from author Stacey Ballis, the featured speaker at this year’s Chick Lit Luncheon, presented by Dr. Robert and Lara Tafel. Benefitting Community Partners of Dallas, this annual event promises a jam-packed day of fun. Each year, a relevant author of the time is recruited to speak about the group’s favorite topic — “chick lit,” of course. Leading the charge are chair Wendy Messmann, honorary chair Carol Seay, and Community Partners of Dallas president and CEO Paige McDaniel, who invite friends, family and fellow literary enthusiasts to join them at Brook Hollow Golf Club Friday, April 24.
