This North Texas Night Will Save Lives
BY Lisa Collins Shaddock // 07.03.19The fourth annual Collin County Heart Ball raised a record-breaking sum for the American Heart Association
What: The Collin County Heart Ball
Where: Omni Frisco Hotel
PC Moment: In just its fourth year, the American Heart Association’s premiere event in Collin County more than doubled the amount raised since its inaugural night. More than 500 attendees from the area’s business, medical, philanthropic and social communities banded together to exceed sponsorship, campaign donation and silent and live auction goals, bringing in more than $473,000 — a record-breaking sum that truly warms our hearts.
Bountiful and cocktail pairings from 10 of Collin County’s hottest chefs — including lead chef Hugh Stewart and Omar Flores, Paloma Ledesma, Chase Montgomery, Alexander Sadowsky and Justin Yoakum — were the perfect way to celebrate.
The silent and live auctions — which garnered a combined $101,000 for the cause — offered luxurious packages and experiences in exchange for direct funding for cardiovascular research and both local and national heart health educational programs.
