Dallas’ 10 Best Dressed Women Revealed as Anticipation Builds for Crystal Charity Ball

Few things go together as well as Neiman Marcus and The Crystal Charity Ball. In addition to being a shining example of community support, the retailer and nonprofit organization’s 45-year-long relationship has a longstanding history of bringing major fashion to Dallas — and we love them for it.

This year is no exception. Every September, the Neiman Marcus flagship store downtown becomes home base for a mini fashion week of our own: The Crystal Charity Ball’s Ten Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon, which includes a runway show by the year’s featured designer.

Carolina Herrera was recently revealed as the featured designer for this year’s Ten Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon, and those who follow the comings and goings of the iconic fashion house know this is very exciting news. Just last year, Wes Gordon assumed the role of creative director, while Carolina Herrera stepped down to become global brand ambassador.

The 32-year-old designer made his official debut last September with the line’s Resort 2019 collection and has been met with enthusiasm and rave reviews.

There are interesting similarities to last year’s featured designer, Oscar de la Renta, which at this time last year had also recently done a changing of the guard, and is helmed by young co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. Both Carolina Herrera and the late Oscar de la Renta came to Dallas as the featured designers for the fashion show within the last decade, so the participation of the houses under new creative leadership certainly speaks volumes.

The reveal also included the lineup of 2019’s 10 Best Dressed Women, who will walk in the fashion show in looks designed by Gordon. This year’s roster includes Delilah Boyd, Lisa Cooley, Tiffany Divis, Jennifer Dix, Cate Ford, Cara French, Amy Hegi, Karla McKinley, Amy Prestidge, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, and Hall of Fame honoree Francie Moody-Dahlberg.

The Crystal Charity Ball Ten Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon will be held Friday, September 13 at Neiman Marcus downtown. More information can be found here.
