PC Moment: Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo president and CEO Joel Cowley regaled the early morning group of 145 with tales of the rodeo, the interesting high points since its founding in 1932 and reported on the near-half billion in scholarships that the rodeo has provided for Texas youngsters.
The program included a testimonial by DFSH client ambassador, Army veteran and single mother of five Laurie Chandler. Veterans will be saluted at the nonprofit’s signature “Rendezvous at the Revaire” gala on October 19.
