Sitting Down with Erin Mathews, One of the Ten Best Dressed Women of Dallas

How Dallas' Original Real Estate Influencer is Giving Back to the Community

By //

Beyond their undeniable style, Crystal Charity Ball’s Ten Best Dressed Women of Dallas are community leaders who are devoted to Dallas and its residents.

Joining Haley Anderson and Felicia Powell to round out a powerhouse trio of first-year honorees is Erin Mathews, a philanthropist and real estate agent who is known as Dallas’ original real estate influencer. A steadfast supporter of many organizations in the community, Mathews commits her time and resources to Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Family Place, Junior League of Dallas, and UT Southwestern (among others!).

Today, we’re chatting with Mathews about how she gives back to Dallas.

What do you love about the Dallas community?

I love the energy of Dallas and the people who make it such a vibrant place to live. There are so many inspiring, go-getter women here who are not only accomplishing incredible things, but also making time to give back. That spirit of generosity and involvement creates an incredible volunteer community and makes Dallas feel very special.

Outside of Crystal Charity Ball, what Dallas charitable organization is nearest and dearest to you?

There are simply too many wonderful organizations in Dallas for me to choose just one. Each organization I support represents a cause I care deeply about, and each serves our community in its own meaningful way.

What is something you’re looking forward to in the year ahead?

I’m looking forward to continuing my journey in philanthropy and finding new ways to contribute to the community that has given so much to me. There are so many extraordinary organizations doing meaningful work in Dallas, and I’m excited to continue supporting them and becoming even more involved.

What is a favorite memory from an event you’ve chaired or volunteered for?

One of my favorite memories was meeting so many of the retailers and customers who participated in The Family Place’s Partners Card in 2025, when I served as honorary chairman. Seeing firsthand how businesses and individuals across Dallas came together to support the organization was incredibly rewarding and a wonderful reminder of how generous this community truly is. Another favorite is the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, where I was honorary co-chair of the Gala in 2025 and currently serve on the Board of Governors.

Why does serving the Dallas community matter to you?

I believe every great city needs strong volunteer and arts communities. Dallas has given me so much, both personally and professionally, and it’s important to me to pour back into the city and help strengthen the organizations that make it such an exceptional place to live.

What is something you’ve learned from working alongside the women of Crystal Charity Ball?

I have admired the women of Crystal Charity Ball for many years, particularly the care and discipline they bring to selecting and vetting the children’s charities they support. There is a tremendous amount of thought behind where their resources can make the greatest impact, and I have enormous respect for that process.
