What: Today’s Harbor for Children (formerly Boys & Girls Harbor) sixth annual “Fantasy Football Draft Night”
Where: NRG Stadium Club Level
PC Moment: Oh, the challenge of picking the best players for your dream team! The 400 guests were aided in their fantasy football picks by gridiron veterans/experts including Houston Oilers quarterback Dan Pastorini, sports talk show host Vince Rachal, former Houston Oilers coach Ed Biles and retired NFL/AFL wide receiver Charlie Frazier. Revving up the enthusiasm was a lively troop of Houston Texans cheerleaders.
This high-scoring fundraiser blew the roof off of previous fantasy football nights by bringing in a whopping $400,000. That was thanks in part to chairs Michael Knudsen and Fred Wahrlich and honorary chair Diane Englet as well as the talents of auction chairs Vicki Lehner and Rachel Price, who succeeded in packing the Club Level with loads of sports memorabilia and bottles for the wine pull.
Who: Harbor for Children CEO Don Sweat and wife Diane, Bill Lehner, Tracy and Ken Janda, Gretchen and John Hodge, Rhonda and Fred Newhouse, Laura and Wayne Kinningham, Ken Sellars, Melinda and Keith Landsness, Monica and Joe Casiano, Elizabeth and Grant Harvey, Ken Sellars, and Claudia and Darayus Pardivala.
