Indulge in frozen treats with a boozy twist during Spiked by the Scoop at Yellow Rose Distilling, Houston’s first legal distillery. The city’s top chefs and mixologists will meet for a frozen treat showdown, crafting adult shakes, sundaes and sandwiches to benefit Small Steps Nurturing Center. You’ll have the opportunity to vote for your favorite frozen dessert wand enjoy light bites and summer craft cocktails.
Contestants include Brandon Walker (B&B Butchers and Restaurant), Danny Trace (Brennan’s of Houston with Pura Vida Tequila), Brad Lamach (Christian’s Tailgate), David Cordúa (Cordúa Restaurants), Garrett Arnold and Dylan Rodriguez (Fat Cat Creamery), Rebecca Masson (Fluff Bake Bar) in partnership with Leslie Ross (Treadsack), Kathleen Morgan (Honeychild’s Sweet Creams), Joseph Stayshich (Karbach Restaurant at Karbach Brewing Co.), Omar Pereney (Peska Seafood Culture with Mezcal Sacrificio), Patrick Ellis (Mobile Mug), Susan Molzan (Petite Sweets), Scott Hightower and Aaron Reyes (Ragin’ Cajun), Steve Long (Reserve 101), Tallent Ricca (RICCA), Peter Laufer (Royal Sonesta Houston), Seth Greenburg (Springbok) and Samantha Wright (Sweet & Mellow).
